I am currently working on a historical romance novel (working title: Forever Wild) set in the Adirondack mountains of Upstate New York during the Gilded Age. I know, it’s not science fiction! There are no guns at all (OK, maybe some rifles)! There is nothing geeky about it at all, unless you count the amount of time I’ve spent poring over old documents entitled things like “Report of the Superintendent of the Land Survey of the State of New York Transmitted to the Legislature March 9, 1897.” That may, admittedly, be somewhat geeky.
